We need to discuss the gut. Far too many of your children have gut related issues, autistic tendencies and poor immune response. Recent studies on the DS microbiome (the bacteria that lives in the gut) found that it was relatively normal but for the presence of two strains found in children with gut problems including infections and autism.

Rarely will I suggest a brand of probiotics as there are so many available but one has been successful in stages of an on going clinical trial in children with autism focusing on these negative impact strains of bacteria.

I think it’s time to give it a try. For your child’s sake, I want you to consider stopping every other type of approach you are presently using for gut healing, especially if you are not seeing significant results. Stick solely to the Nutrivene protocol changing only the probiotic. At this time, to give this a chance to show benefit, stop all other types of probiotics as well. Introducing any other probiotic while giving this a try may defeat the purpose. You may get alternate advice but as a scientist, I’m focusing on your child experiencing results. I strongly suggest you pay attention and give this time to help heal your child’s gut. Patience is a virtue and it may take a few weeks to see benefits but I hope you will stick with this.

The strain, Sutterella wadsworthensis, is a recently discovered bacteria which tends to thrive in low oxygen, or anaerobic conditions. Strains of these bacteria have been associated with gastrointestinal infections, and may also play a role in inflammatory conditions such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. Sutterella has also been linked to autism, with levels detected in the gastrointestinal tracts of children with this condition.

The product Vivomixx has been successful in stages of an on going clinical trial. Since it is readily available I suggest we give it a try. The link to purchase Vivomixx is at the bottom of this post.
